The CEO of Maadkoush Pelletizing Company announced that Hormozgan Province is set to produce 10 million tons of steel, with a requirement of 17 million tons of pellets, of which Maadkoush can supply 5 million tons.

According to the Science and Technology News Agency of Hormozgan, Engineer Alireza Samadi, in an interview with our reporter, stated that Maadkoush Pelletizing Company has commenced operations with the goal of completing the steel supply chain from concentrate production to steel manufacturing in Hormozgan Province. Necessary studies and planning have also been conducted.
He added that the company utilizes the Allis-Chalmers pelletizing technology, with equipment sourced from renowned global brands. The construction of the first phase of this complex, with a capacity of 2.5 million tons of pellets, began in 2013 and is expected to be operational by next year.
Samadi continued, saying that the capacity of each production line at Maadkoush Pelletizing Plant will increase to a minimum of three million tons per year. He noted that while the first phase is being executed, all shared infrastructure between the two phases has been constructed.
The CEO of Maadkoush Pelletizing Company emphasized the design of the production line, highlighting that it allows for the intake of various concentrates (hematite and magnetite) with different grain sizes, which is a key feature of this line.
Samadi added that with the launch of the first phase, 350 direct and about 2,000 indirect job opportunities will be created.
He also discussed the environmental benefits of the Maadkoush Pelletizing Plant, noting that dust collection operations are conducted at several work points to prevent environmental pollution and adverse effects on air quality, water, and employee safety.
The CEO emphasized that being adjacent to the Persian Gulf has transformed Hormozgan into a province with high economic potential. The export facilities in this province are among the best services available.
Samadi reiterated that Hormozgan is set to produce 10 million tons of steel, requiring 17 million tons of pellets, and Maadkoush can supply 5 million tons of this demand.
