Maadkoush conducts continuous monitoring and control of air, water, and noise pollution to ensure compliance with environmental standards. Regular assessments of emissions and pollutant levels are performed, and the results are registered in the environmental database of the Iranian Environmental Protection Organization. This proactive approach ensures that we stay within regulatory limits and address potential issues before they escalate.
Water Recycling and Reuse
A major initiative at Maadkoush is the implementation of a comprehensive water recycling system. Wastewater from industrial processes is carefully treated and reused within the facility, reducing the overall demand for fresh water and minimizing wastewater discharge. This system ensures that excess water is returned to the environment for use in green spaces, contributing to regional water conservation efforts.
Optimization of Emission Control Systems
Maadkoush is actively upgrading and optimizing its dust collection systems, including Back House and Bag Filter systems, to reduce airborne pollutants from our production processes. By continuously auditing and enhancing these systems, we ensure that emissions from the facility are kept within permissible limits, thereby minimizing air pollution and its impact on the local environment.
Solid Waste Management
In collaboration with local authorities, Maadkoush ensures the responsible disposal of both general and hazardous waste. Waste is regularly collected and transported for safe disposal or recycling. For instance, regular waste is removed daily, while medical or hazardous waste is handled in accordance with industry best practices to prevent contamination or harm to the environment.
Green Space Development
As part of our commitment to sustainability, Maadkoush has invested significantly in the development of green spaces within and around the plant. With over 13,659 square meters of green areas already developed, and native species of trees and shrubs planted, we aim to enhance biodiversity and improve air quality. Our focus on using regionally adapted plants ensures the longevity and resilience of these green spaces.
Waste Reduction and Recycling
Maadkoush has implemented a waste separation program aimed at reducing and recycling materials, including glass, plastic, and paper. Separate bins are provided across the facility to facilitate the sorting of waste, ensuring that recyclable materials are properly processed and reused, thus contributing to waste reduction efforts.
Environmental Education and Certification
We believe in the importance of educating our workforce about environmental sustainability. Maadkoush regularly participates in environmental seminars and has earned certificates, such as the Green Industry Certificate from the Green Management Association of Iran.
